What is the meaning of play? A play is a favourite activity of the children. Any type of play they play. There are two types of play – Indoor play and Outdoor play. In today’s modern day definition of play for many children is being stuck in front of the laptop, television, mobile.
Playing outdoors is a form of exercise that encourages kids well-being and healthy physical development. Playing outdoors also will increase flexibility, development of physical strength as well as involve themselves in sports.
Outdoor play should not be controlled by parents. Play is self chosen and directed.
These days parents are so busy with their work and they do not have time to bring their children out and play. Outdoor play also enables children to enjoy the natural environment. By spending time in the sunshine can help their bodies to get vitamin-D to develop healthier bones. Children these days have busy schedules with school and extra- curricular activities and they may experience stress or depression. Physical activities outdoors can help kids to reduce their stress and can also improve their mood. Play involves an active, alert but non-stressed frame of mind.
Outdoor play may create team leaders. Children work together to meet a goal .They may also learn how to share toys, food, etc. Playing can develop kid’s memory, thinking skills, gross motor skills.
When kids are playing outdoors with other kids they are learning about relationships and how to behave as a member of a group. They make new friends and they learn to express their feelings. They also will learn how to follow the rules.
Playing outside is important for a child’s growth and their mental and physical development. When playing outdoors they can interact with the environment, digging in the sand and making castle or mountain or home. When they are playing outside they can hear the sound of birds, animals, bees. So they can learn from their surroundings.
As a part of being a child they must have the chances of playing outdoors. So that they can be healthier, smarter, can enjoy the environment and have memorable memories when they grow up.
